Crowder College nursing program receives $150,000 grant

(From Crowder College)

Crowder College was awarded a $150,000 grant to use to build a Hybrid Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse program.

The Nursing Education Incentive Program (NEIP) was awarded to 21 Missouri college and universities as part of the Missouri State Board of Nursing $3.1M grant. The grant was intended for college and universities to advance efforts in recruiting, training and retaining a high-quality nursing workforce in the state.

“Crowder College currently offers a traditional LPN to RN bridge program,” stated Sandra Wilson, Director of Nursing, Crowder College. “The NEIP grant will allow us to design, pilot, and support a hybrid delivery model for LPNs to earn Associate of Science degrees and license as Registered Nurses. We want this to provide an opportunity for many working LPNs in our region to continue their education.”

The LPN-to-RN Bridge hybrid program has an expected start date of Fall 2026.

Crowder College offers an Associate of Science in Nursing (RN) degree at its Neosho, Cassville, McDonald County and Nevada locations.
