...WINTER STORM WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SUNDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Periods of moderate to heavy snow will be possible. Total
snow accumulations between 6 and 9 inches possible.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas and south central and
southwest Missouri.
* WHEN...Snow is expected to begin Friday afternoon and continue
into Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Friday evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Very cold temperatures in the single digits
with wind chill values below zero will add to the safety threat if
vehicles become stranded.
