Crowder College to offer free showing of "Gone Guys" documentary

(From Crowder College)

Crowder College will offer a free showing of “Gone Guys” documentary, Thursday, March 26, 6pm, in the Elsie Plaster Community Center on the Neosho campus.

This powerful new documentary invites viewers into a timely, necessary conversation about the challenges facing boys and young men today. Following the 45-minute viewing of the documentary, a panel discussion will follow which includes young men and community members.

The documentary draws on the influential work of author Richard V. Reeves’ book, “Of Boys and Men,” which illuminates these challenges through powerful data and compelling personal stories.

“This documentary was made available this past fall for viewing at the I-49 Workforce Summit, a collaborative venture created to prosper,” stated Dr. Chett Daniel, Crowder College President. “The overwhelming response provided an opportunity for us to bring it to campus for area businesses, educators, and community members. Our faculty and staff will also be given the opportunity to view it during an in-service session the following day.”

The event is free for anyone to attend, but registration is requested. Please register at: https://forms.office.com/r/69JsXPtYPW

Due to the limited viewing opportunities, the Thursdays at the Theatre event scheduled for March 26, was canceled.
