Where: Missouri Route 171 between Missouri Route 96 and Maple Road in Jasper County north of Joplin
When: 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Thursday, March 16-27
What: MoDOT crews cleaning up right-of-way following brush- and tree clearing operation
Traffic Impacts
Missouri Route 171 reduced to one lane where crews are working
Drivers will encounter flaggers and pilot cars where crews are working. Drivers should wait for the pilot vehicle before proceeding through the work zone or before entering the work zone from a side road.
Drivers should watch for crews and equipment close to the road and should expect slowed traffic and delays
No signed detour
Drivers urged to find alternate routes
Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the closure
Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
