Miller woman suffers serious injuries in collision on 96

A Miller woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident 10:47 a.m. Monday on MO 96 10 miles northeast of Mount Vernon.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2000 International Harvester driven by a 19-year-old Miller man attempted to keep from hitting a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, which was stopped and waiting to make a left turn, by going off the right side of the roadway, but still hit the car.

A passenger in the Silverado, a 64-year-old Miller woman, was treated for serious injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
