A woman's body was found in a drainage ditch on a five-acre plot of land owned by the City of Joplin at the 2400 block of Perkins near Walnut Street, Four States Home Page reports.
The body was spotted by someone passing by who notified police.
Joplin Police told media they do not suspect foul play.
Some family members have been notified, not all, so the name of the woman has not been released.
