Missouri Southern foreign study trips highlighted on KGCS series

(From Southern News Service)

Study abroad trips taken by Missouri Southern students and faculty this summer are highlighted in the series, “Window on the World” – which airs during the evenings on KGCS-TV.

Each of the four programs in the series (listed below) features an international trip, and highlights MSSU’s international mission:

Belize - Biology Department

Germany - Engineering Technology Department

Nordic countries - Kinesiology Department

Mexico - History and Modern Languages departments.

“Students at Missouri Southern have special opportunities through study abroad trips,” said Judy Stiles, KGCS General Manager. “We are glad to be able to share their experiences with our viewers.”

The programs were produced and are hosted by communication majors who worked at KGCS during the summer session.

The series is currently posted on KGCS’s YouTube channel, “KGCS Missouri Southern.”

KGCS programming can be seen on channel 21. It is also available on regional cable television systems such as Cable One, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
