There will be a public meeting held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21 in the Council Chambers located on the fifth floor of Joplin City Hall, 602 South Main Street. This is an opportunity for property owners in the Murphysburg residential district to review the draft nomination and to learn more about the implications of listing Murphysburg to the National Register of Historic Places. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
The presentation will be presented by Rachel Nugent, of Rosin Preservation, LLC of Kansas City, Missouri. Rosin Preservation has successfully completed dozens of nominations for historic districts, including many residential districts similar in size and age to Murphysburg.
