Three injured after truck crashes into tree near Joplin

Three people were injured in a one-vehicle crash 1:25 p.m. Thursday on Cedar Drive, three miles south of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Ford F-150 driven by James S. Cotten, 24, Joplin, ran off the right side of the roadway and hit a tree.

Cotten and two passengers Dakota K. Ogden, 24, Carthage, and Joshua J. Paonessa, 28, Joplin, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
