Webb City man airlifted to Freeman after being thrown from pickup

A Webb City man was injured after being thrown from the pickup in which he was riding 8:15 p.m. Thursday on SW 160th Lane, five miles of Mindenmines.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Ford driven by Hunter J. Blanton, 20, Webb City, was rounding a curve and Derek L. Crow, 23, Webb City, who was riding in the back, was thrown from the vehicle.

Crow was airlifted to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, where he was treated for serious injuries.
