A Carl Junction man was killed in a one-vehicle accident 8:50 a.m. today on MO 43, five miles north of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Honda Accord driven by Lyle J. Green, 57, Carl Junction, traveled off the roadway, overturned several times, and struck a cliff face, ejecting Green.
Green was pronounced dead at 9:43 a.m. at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, by Dr. Watts.
The fatality was the 43rd this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
