Driver charged with DWI after Neosho man, two Noel residents injured in accident

A Noel man was charged with driving while intoxicated, after three people were injured in a one-vehicle accident 7:17 p.m. Saturday on Hilltop Road, one mile west of Noel.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2002 Lincoln driven by Sigrah N. Ernest, 35, Noel, lost control on a curve, ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

Ernest was treated for serious injuries at Washington Memorial Hospital, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Two passengers, Chris Ernest, 28, Neosho, and Michael Ikosia, 24, Noel, were treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

Sigrah Ernest was charged with DWI as a prior offender, driving while revoked, and careless and imprudent driving involving an accident.
