Three teens were injured in a one-vehicle accident 4:05 p.m. Sunday on County Road 197, four miles north of Carterville.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Honda Passport driven by Jasmine A. Cancinos-Estrada, 14, Reeds, went off the right side of the road, struck the ground and then a large rock and barbed wire fence and started overturning and struck two large trees.
Cancinos-Estrada was treated for moderate injuries and two passengers, Kimberly L. Hernandez, 18, Carthage, and Olga A. Mavariegos, 15, Carthage, were treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
