Two Sarcoxie residents were injured in a three-vehicle accident 10:40 a.m. today on Blackberry Road, two miles west of Sarcoxie.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2000 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Albert L. Taylor, 79, Reeds, failed to yield to a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Carl E. Poindexter, 81, Sarcoxie. The Poindexter vehicle struck the Taylor vehicle, which traveled off the roadway and hit a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Roy L. Toland, 33, Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
Poindexter and a passenger in his vehicle, Judith M. Essary, 66, Sarcoxie, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
