A Community Day of Service is scheduled for Friday, May 19, 2017.
Service work will be performed in Scenic Park by volunteers from the community at large. The City of Neosho is pleased to be able to continue with the improvements planned for Scenic Park that will extend over several months before seeing a completion.
As of this date, two new play areas with new playground equipment have been installed. These areas provide equipment designed specifically for children in ages from 2 to 5 in one area and from 5 to 12 in the other. Items that will be addressed on the Community Day of Service are as follows:
Installation of horseshoe pits, painting of the older existing playground equipment that has been selected to stay in place, cleaning and painting interiors of restrooms and concession buildings, and placing of surfaces of the playground areas under the new equipment.
At this time the City of Neosho is seeking volunteers for this Community Day of Service. Volunteers can be individuals or organizations seeking to give back to the community. Interested parties should contact our Day of Service Coordinator:
