Golden City man arrested after Barton County, Lamar execute search warrant

On April 20, 2017 the Barton County Sheriff’s office along with officers of the Lamar Police Department executed a search warrant at a rural Golden City residence located at 1155 SE 75th rd. 

The reason for the search warrant was to take into custody a subject who had an active felony warrant for probation violation. Deputies had been to the home on other occasions trying to locate the wanted subject, but the occupants of the residence failed to cooperate with Law Enforcement to allow a search to be conducted for the subject. 

 On this evening, the wanted subject, James Lee Taylor, age 27, Golden City was located inside the home shortly after 2 a.m. He was taken into custody without incident. During the investigation illegal narcotics was also observed in the home. 

 A 34 year of age white female was arrested on drug charges and transported to the Barton County Jail. 

 The illegal drugs located will be sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crime lab for analysis when results come back all investigative reports will be turned over to the Prosecuting Attorney, Steven Kaderly for formal filing of any criminal charges.
