The City of Lamar is looking for a new police chief and has posted the following advertisement:

The City of Lamar is seeking an experienced police professional to lead the Lamar Police Department, to plan, coordinate and direct the operational activities of the Department.

The City of Lamar is accepting applications for the position of police chief. Lamar, located in southwest Missouri, is a 4th Class City with a population of 4,532 and a $13 million dollar budget. Qualifications include a completed high school diploma or equivalent with a Bachelor’s Degree a plus, valid Missouri driver’s license, Missouri POST certification, ten years LEO experience and five years of supervisor/command experience included or in addition to ten years total LEO experience required. experience required.
