Two new events have been scheduled to provide opportunities for local families to be reunited with photos displaced by the May 2011 Joplin tornado. Volunteers will be on hand to assist residents and return photos at the Joplin Museum Complex, South Schifferdecker Ave. on April 22, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and again on May 27, 2017- also from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

3. Pick up your photos on these days.
If you don’t have a computer or internet access, binders of photos will be available for viewing. Find, claim and receive your photos, ALL ON THE SAME DAY.

*Over 18,000 photos have been returned since the Joplin project began. Our hopes are that more people are ready to look for photos and even more individuals will check the albums and recognize their friends and neighbors.
The National Disaster Photo Rescue organization (501c3) formed after the May 22, 2011 Joplin Missouri tornado and is a ministry of First Baptist Church, Carthage Missouri. National Disaster Photo Rescue is dedicated to the preservation and return of lost photos after a disaster, thus building renewed strength and hope by reuniting communities with treasured memories thought to have been destroyed.
