On June 25th, 2017 the Joplin Police Department began an investigation in the northeast part of town for alleged crimes against a juvenile victim. During the course of the investigation, it was learned that there was inappropriate contact between a 25 year old male and a juvenile female. Timothy L Bailey Jr., 25, of Joplin was arrested. Charges were submitted to the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office.
The Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office filed the following charges:
-Statutory Rape Or Attempted Statutory Rape
-Statutory Sodomy Or Attempted Statutory Sodomy - Deviate Sexual Intercourse
-Enticement Or Attempted Enticement Of A Child
Bailey’s bond was set at $1 Million plus $500,000 cash.
