The Joplin Police Department has been advised that Anthony Thomas Gates, a wanted fugitive from Texas may be in the Joplin area.
Gates described as being 47 years of age, 6'03" 290 pounds. Gates has a Warrant issued in Texas for Failing to Comply with Registration Requirements (as a convicted sex offender, he is required to register).
Mr. Gates should be considered dangerous and possibly armed. If you know where Mr. Gates is located, please call the Joplin Police Department at 417-623-3131 or your local law enforcement .
