A Lockwood woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision 11:45 a.m. today on Highway 97, nine miles west of Greenfield.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1990 GMC 2500 driven by Rylan B. Long, 27, Greenfield, crossed over the center line and struck a 2009 Suzuki FX4 driven by Alice A. Mitchell, 63, Lockwood.
Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:12 p.m. by Dade County Deputy Coroner Max Huffman.
Long was treated for moderate injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
The fatality was the 47th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
