(From the Webb City Police Department)
The Webb City Police Department is proud to share with you, that we are coordinating our 20th annual ‘Shop with a Cop’ event. Naturally, this entire event is made possible only because of the generosity of people in the community. Without the donations, this project would not exist. Local businesses in Webb City have partnered with us and are selling the ‘Shop with a Cop’ badges for $1.00 donations for this program. One hundred percent of the collected funds go directly to children and their families.
As you are well aware, this program helps to provide Christmas for some very deserving children in the Webb City school system.
This year’s event is scheduled for a Saturday morning in December when again, 75 law-enforcement officers will shop with 75 children at our Webb City Wal-Mart. Each child will be given $100.00 to spend on Christmas gifts, for themselves and other family members. The selected families will also receive a food basket of items donated by various businesses and vendors who also have partnered with us. The officers have almost as much fun as the kids, and every year Santa Claus arrives early to help us out and there are always lots of hugs and even some tears of gratitude.
Please note: we do not solicit donations by telephone or by door to door contact. If an individual is personally contacted by anyone representing themselves to be associated with the Webb City Police Department “Shop with a Cop’ program, they should decline making a donation and report the contact.
However, we do receive donations by mail or by drop off, at two convenient locations:

Thank you for Caring,
