Lamar R-1 to have support personnel available Monday following sudden death of first grade teacher

(The following message, written by Lamar R-1 Superintendent Zach Harris, was published Saturday on the district's Facebook page. Jordan Cantrell reportedly died while recuperating from surgery on an outpatient basis.)

It is with great sadness and sorrow that I am notifying you that Jordan Cantrell, a first-grade teacher at East Primary, has passed away.

Jordan was a kind, loving, creative teacher, and photographer. She was actively involved with building PBIS, social committee, and always willing to do further research for the benefit of “her” kids. 

On behalf of Lamar R-1, I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the Cantrell family.

Lamar R-1 will have additional personnel available to provide support for students and staff.
