Today's test of Joplin outdoor warning sirens canceled

Due to overcast skies, Joplin will NOT test the outdoor warning sirens today. 

The next regularly scheduled test will Be TUESDAY, 06 March, 2018 at 10:00 AM. This day is the annual Statewide Tornado Drill. 

In the event of bad weather, the backup date will be Thursday, 08 March.

  1. Can we please stop acting like triggered sissies! When was the last time they were tested? 3-4 months? Do they even work? I'd rather make a few non-weather watching sissies crap their pants than have sirens that don't work when they are truly needed.
