Newsmakers program to feature recently retired KGCS creative director

(From Southern News Service)

The next edition of “Newsmakers” on KGCS-TV highlights the career of a longtime MSSU employee who also spent two decades working in local television.

Bill Hunt has served the past 19 years at MSSU as the creative services director for KGCS-TV. Prior to his time on campus, he spent close to 20 years working for local television stations KODE and KSNF.

Hunt, who retires from MSSU on Sept. 30, sits down with Judy Stiles, host and KGCS general manager - to discuss his career, his contributions to KGCS, as well as the changes he’s seen in the television industry.

The show will begin airing in the evenings at 5:30 p.m. the week of September 27, and on Saturday morning (Oct. 3) at 5:30 a.m. on KOAM-TV. It’s also posted on the station’s YouTube channel - KGCS Missouri Southern.

KGCS programing can be seen on channel 21, and is also available on regional cable television systems such as Sparklight, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
