Webb City man arrested, Carterville teen still at large in Jasper County burglary investigation

On 9-12-20, Jasper County Deputies responded to an address in the northern part of the county in reference to a burglary where a large sum of cash was taken along with some jewelry and a gun. 

During the investigation, an individual was sought as a person of interest. 

On 9-22-20, that individual, Ja’Shawn Ellis, was located at a residence in Webb City and was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in Carthage. 









Ellis, 20, of Webb City has been charged with felony receiving of stolen property and felony delivery or 35 grams or less of marijuana. He is being held on $10,000 bond. 


During the initial investigation, a second suspect is now being sought. 

The Jasper County Detectives are now seeking information of the whereabouts of Ross D. Bush, 17, of Carterville, Mo. 

An arrest warrant has been issued on Bush for Felony Stealing with a $75,000 Bond.
