(From the Jasper Police Department)Good morning Jasper, we just wanted to let you know we are and have been aware of the trash and rubbish left at a residence on one of our main roads here in town.
The family had moved out, a family with 4-5 adults who were living at the residence and are very capable of cleaning up the trash rubbish from their yard. Citations are being issued. We waited a couple days to see if the property would be cleaned up and it has not.
First, let’s put this out there… Even if you are moving out of a residence, there should be NO REASON the property is left like this not even for a few hours. To the 4-5 adults who left this place trashed, this is unacceptable.
Sadly this residence has a long history of this type of trash and rubbish being present in the yard. The owner and property manager could also have to answer to code violations. We will not let this go until the property is cleaned up.
Over the last 5 plus years, a great effort has taken place to clean the town city of Jasper up both with run down properties and also criminals and this city has come a long way thanks to efforts of police, citizens and investors.
So we ask that you simply clean up your property and maintain it to acceptable standards.
