Five candidates file for McDonald County R-1 Board of Education

A handful of candidates are seeking to fill two positions on the McDonald County School's Board of Education at the upcoming April election.

 
Voters will have to choose between five people to fill two seats on the Board when they head to the polls on Tuesday, April 5.

Those five candidates are (in order of filing): Donald (Chad) Akins, Franklin (Frank) Woods - Incumbent, Dewey Allgood, Stephen (Steve) Buckingham, and Robert (Bob) Campbell.

Each of those two positions will serve a 3-year term on the Board.

 
First-time voters in McDonald County who wish to cast a ballot in the April election have until Wednesday, March 9 to register to vote.
