(From the Galena Police Department)Thursday morning at approximately 10:30am. Officers with the Galena Police Department were notified of a male subject with a stab wound in the area of 23rd and Main Street.
When officers arrived, they located a male subject near 2301 Main Street with a stab wound to the abdomen. The male subject was transported by EMS to a local hospital.
A female suspect identified as Miranda N. Porter DOB: 07/30/1984, was located in the residence where the offence occurred. She was taken into custody and transported to the Cherokee County Jail. She is being held for Aggravated Battery and Interference with a Law Enforcement Officer.
This is an ongoing investigation and additional information may be released at a later date. We would like to thank the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance with this incident.
