Girard man injured in crash on 171

A Girard, Kansas man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 2:15 p.m. today on MO 171 four miles north of Carl Junction.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Freightliner driven by Jeremy S. Clausen, 36, Girard, traveled of the right side of the road and struck a guardrail and some trees.

Clausen was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Joplin.
