Route Z to be closed at BSNF Railroad in Carl Junction

TRAFFIC ALERT: Route Z CLOSED at BNSF RR in Carl Junction for Crossing Repairs April 5

Where: Jasper County Route Z (Pennell Street) at BNSF Railroad crossing just west of Missouri Route 171 in Carl Junction

When: Noon-7 p.m., Friday, April 5

What: Railroad crews making crossing repairs

Traffic Impacts

All lanes of Route Z CLOSED at railroad crossing

Drivers will have access to driveways and entrances on either side of the work zone, but will not be able to travel across the railroad

Drivers will be directed along a signed detour using Karen Drive and Route 171

Drivers urged to find alternate routes to avoid the work zone

Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching work zone

Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
