(From the Newton County Sheriff's Office)Deputy Josh Eimer has been selected as Deputy of the Quarter!
Deputy Eimer is always on time; he comes to work with a very humble smile every day. He handles his calls very professionally. He always assists other deputies even when it is the end of shift, and he does not hesitate to take the lead.
On his traffic stops, he talks to people with respect, he listens carefully, and he shows empathy especially to calls that relate to domestic assaults or cardiac arrests.
Recently he was hastily assigned to work as the temporary SRO for the East Newton School District and did so with no complaint. He is often called to cover shifts when a deputy is sick and is always willing to help. Deputy Eimer was commended on his handling of a call by a Lafayette House staff member when "he showed great trauma informed care."
Deputy Eimer is a really good example to follow, especially for all the new deputies that want to start a new career in this field, therefore we award him as Deputy of the Quarter.
