St. Louis Avenue in Joplin to close at 7th Street

On Monday, November 4, St. Louis Avenue will be closed from 7th Street to Campbell Parkway. Emery Sapp & Sons, contractors for Missouri American Water, will replace the water main under St. Louis Avenue, weather permitting. Detours will be in place.

This closure lasts approximately one week, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Then, the contractor will pause the work to test the new line for about one week. 

The closure will resume for another week to allow service line tie-ins to be completed. Work completion is based on weather permitting.

Drivers will have access to area businesses throughout the closure. Please use caution while driving near this work zone. The City appreciates your patience as the improvements are made.
