(From Carl Junction Fire Protection District)Wednesday, we received the third and final tanker from our 3-year project to update our tanker portion of our fleet.
All three are standardized to match and are equipped with 2,000-gallon water tanks. This is such a vital part of the service we provide because of the limited amount of fire hydrants in our district.
They are equipped to deliver water from direct dump or nurse drafting operations. They have the capability of fighting fire standalone in a wildland fire scenario, or in other outside fire situations.
This upgrade takes the tankers from 1990’s cab and chassis to 2025. Prolonging the life of the tanks for hopefully another 35 years. Thank you for allowing us to serve this community that we have such great pride in!
