(From the Carl Junction Police Department)This past weekend, the city experienced a rash of vandalism in which the suspects slashed vehicle tires and spray-painted graffiti on houses, vehicles, and even the street. Officers took reports from residents in the Hedge Drive, Briarbrook Drive, and West Briarbrook Lane areas.
The incidents took place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights (August 8-10) after dark, between 10:00 pm and 3:00 am. During neighborhood canvases, we were able to obtain video footage of possible suspects.
As we continue our investigation, we are asking for your help: If, during this time frame, you saw anyone on foot in the area, or your video system captured images of anyone on foot, please give us a call at 417-649-7070. The communications officer will take your name and number, and we will return your call.
Remember that if you see what may be a crime-in-progress or a suspicious person or vehicle, call us immediately. Thank you!
