Southern Lights, Missouri Southern State University’s seventh annual holiday festival, will be held starting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Lion Plaza at Billingsly Student Center.
From 5:30 to 7 p.m. there will be horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday pictures with Roary the Lion, cookie decorating and crafts. Hot cocoa, cider and cookies will also be available. A tree-lighting ceremony with Interim President Dr. Alan Marble will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Following the activities, the Southern Jazz Orchestra will present the annual Swingin’ Holiday Show at 7:30 p.m. in Webster Hall’s Corley Auditorium. The concert will feature traditional big band selections and holiday favorites.
