Springfield, MO - Crowder College Business students attended and competed in the Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference in Springfield, MO this past weekend. Over 200 college students from around the state came together to complete in business events attempting to qualify for the PBL National Conference held In Anaheim, CA this summer. Crowder College had 13 students finish in the top 5 in their respective event and had 6 national qualifiers. To qualify in an event you had to finish in either the top 2 or 3 depending on the event.
Those placing in the top 5 included: Luis Rueda
(Monett), 5th place Project Management; Amna Moustafa (Egypt), 5th Place Information Management; Matthew Brumback (Neosho), 5th Place Impromptu Speaking; Cuy Yang (Neosho), 4th Place Client Service; Alec Fehring (Neosho), 4th Place Job Interview; Jackson Lewis (Neosho), 4th Place Social Media Campaign; Monica Barriga (Bella Vista, AR), Kazandra Martinez (Springdale, AR), Ana Sanchez Rosales (Noel) , 3rd place in Hospitality Management.
Those qualifying for Nationals in their events include: Isaac Clingfost (Stella), 3rd Place in Entrepreneurship Concepts; Billy Ketcherside (Brighton), 2ndPlace Business Law; Amber Blake (Lampe) and Kailey Patrick (Goodman), 2nd place in Human Resource Management; Jackson Lewis, Amber Blake, Kailey Patrick, 2nd Place Business Presentation; Jackson Lewis, 1st Place Computer Applications; Cuy Yang, 1st Place Sales Presentation.
Students from across the county who qualified will be attending the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA from June 24-27.
