A pedestrian was killed in an accident 10:21 p.m. Monday on U. S. 60 at Hummingbird Lane in Fordland.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2013 Freightliner TTL driven by Dannie R. Schubert, 64, Sarcoxie, struck a pedestrian who was lying in the roadway from a previous accident.
Webster County Coroner Michael Taylor pronounced Amos W. McElroy, 50, Fordland, dead at the scene at 11:02 p.m.
The fatality was the 21st this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
