Intersection of 26th and Main closed through next Monday

As infrastructure work continues along Main Street, there will be occasional closures of the signaled intersections. This week, the intersection at 26th & Main is being shut down as the crews complete work in this area. The closure is scheduled through Monday June 19, 2017. Please be mindful of the closure and avoid the area if possible.

If you need to travel on Main Street, the designated detour routes are as follows:

· Southbound traffic will turn right on 25th Street to Joplin Avenue, then follow Joplin to 28th Street and turn left to return to Main Street.

· Northbound traffic will take right on 28th Street to Pennsylvania Avenue, then follow Pennsylvania to 25thStreet, and turn left to return to Main Street.

The City and their contractors appreciate the public’s patience and understanding while the reconstruction of Main Street takes place from 15th to 31st Street. This project is scheduled for completion by the end of this year.
