JFD extinguishes structure fire at 2202 S. Connor

The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 2202 S Connor Ave, on Wednesday, 31 May, at 12:59 PM. 

The first crew arrived at 1:06 PM. On arrival fire personnel found a two-story residential structure with smoke coming out of the eaves. 

The fire originated in the west wall of a bathroom on the first floor, near a breaker box. Crews extinguished the fire and remained on scene until 5:02 PM.

There were no injuries to civilians or firefighting crews. Ownership information is not available now.
The Fire Department responded with 6 apparatus and 20 personnel and was assisted by the Joplin Police Department and METS Ambulance Service. The American Red Cross assisted the residents.
The fire was investigated by the Fire Marshal and found to be electrical in nature.
