Members of the Joplin PD Motorcycle Squad attended the 4th annual motorcycle competition in Branson over the past couple of days. This is an opportunity to not only have a friendly competition with fellow officers, but learn some new skills with officers from around the region.
Officers Brewer, Waters, Rivers, and Bentz attended the event that ended today. They are assigned to our Traffic Unit and utilize their motors on a regular basis for special events as well as day to day service. They had a great time and did a fantastic job. Officer Cory Waters brought home a 1st place award and Officer Joseph Bentz brought home a 2nd place award in their division. We are very proud of them and the other officers that competed in this event.
This event closed the week of Branson/Lakes Area Law Enforcement Recognition Week. It took a lot of people a lot of time to make this week and event possible.
