The IRS does not accept pre-paid credit/debit cards as payment for past due taxes.
The local law enforcement agency will not accept xBox Live credits as payment to remove your warrants.
And neither will get your grandchild out of prison in a foreign country.
Most importantly none of the three agencies will call or email you as initial contact…they’ll typically mail you a letter.

If they have answered an unsolicited telephone call requesting funds for any reason have them call the agency directly at a number not provided by the phone caller.
