Crowder College and Langston University to Hold Weed & Brush Control Seminar

There will be a Weed & Brush Control Seminar for property managers, cattlemen and goat producers on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. the Williams Ag building at Crowder College. This seminar will cover various alternatives for weed and brush control such as the following: brush management options, with emphasis on red cedar, and additional treatments of burning, herbicide and clipping with goats.

After lunch, conference participants will tour the research site at the conservation area on Highway D to observe the effect of goats on the forested area in contrast to areas across the fence. Participants will also see goats and goat facilities.
