Joplin man charged with assault following stabbing at Watered Gardens

On 10-28-2017 at 9:15 p.m. officers were dispatched to 531 Kentucky, Watered Gardens, for a report of a stabbing by the front door. 

Officers arrived and located a male who had been stabbed multiple times. The male was given aid on scene and transported by METS to a local hospital in Critical Condition. The victim is identified as Allen Johnson, 21, and is still in the hospital in ICU, but said to be stable.

Officers searching for the suspect located him at 10th and Main a few minutes after the initial call. He was taken into custody without incident. He is identified as Bradley D Cook, 31, Joplin. He is currently being held on a $10,000 cash bond for assault in the 1st degree as filed by the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office.
