Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 8:01 p.m. today on U. S. 160, four miles north of Golden City.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2013 Ford Edge driven by Ronald S. Royster, 44, Dexter, struck a deer and lost control, crossing the center line and striking a 2001 GMC Sierra driven by William V. Halsted, 24, Harrison, Arkansas.
Two passengers in the Royster vehicle, Laura A. Royster, 48, and Mary R.Royster, 67, both of Dexter, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
Halsted was treated for minor injuries at Barton County Memorial Hospital, Joplin.
