Crowder College weekly activities update

Academics
·         Show Me Crowder is October 25. Area high school students are invited to get a chance to see what Crowder has to offer. Registration for high school juniors, seniors, homeschool students, and families are encouraged. Find out more at: http://www.crowder.edu/admissions/show-me-crowder/

Athletics
·         Roughrider Soccer won their 1st round match in the Region 16 tournament defeating State Fair, 1-0 in double overtime. They play Tues., Oct. 24, 2pm in St. Louis. For a complete schedule go to: http://crowderathletics.com/sports/msoc/2017-18/schedule
·         The Roughrider Women’s Basketball team will scrimmages MSSU on Wed., Oct. 25, 6pm. Season Opener will be at home on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 6pm. For a complete game schedule go to: http://crowderathletics.com/sports/wbkb/2017-18/schedule
·         Crowder Baseball 2017 Skills Showcase Camps – October 29. Open to players in grades 9-12, 10am starts. Cost is $100 per player per session. Each session is limited to 60 players. Campus Events
·         Show Me Crowder will be held Wed., Oct 25. This event is for high school Juniors/Seniors and anyone interested in finding out more about Crowder College. Community Events
·         Community Education classes have been scheduled for the fall semester in Neosho. These short workshops are for community members as they are geared towards hobbies and special interests. ·         Celebrate MARET (Missouri Alternative & Renewable Energy) will be held Monday, October 23, 6pm in the Elsie Plaster Community Center. This marks the 25th year Crowder has been designated MARET by the state legislature and next year marks the 40th year of alternative energy classes. Induction of the inaugural member to the Alternative Energy Hall of Fame will presented at the event. This event is free and open to the public.
·         The Crowder Vet Tech program has pets for adoption. Check out the dogs and cats available:http://www.crowder.edu/academics/departments/agriculture/vet-tech/pet-adoption/
Foundation
·         Win a Honda Fit raffle for the 15th Annual Festival of Wreaths.  Tickets are $50 each with only 500 being sold! Drawing will take place at the 15th Annual Festival of Wreaths, Nov. 14. Purchase tickets online: winahondafit.com or call the Foundation Office at 417.455.5646.
·         Mark your calendar for the 15th Annual Festival of Wreaths, Nov. 14. This is the single largest fundraising event for the Foundation. Find out more: https://501auctions.com/festivalofwreaths
