Five-year-old Neosho girl airlifted to Springfield, four injured in accident on U. S. 60

Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 7:40 a.m. Monday on U. S. 60, one mile east of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Dodge Durango driven by Ethan A. White, 16, Neosho, was attempting to cross U. S. 60 and was struck by a 2006 Dodge Charger driven by Alyssa L. Whittington, 20, Goodman, and was struck by the Whittington vehicle.

A passenger in the White vehicle, Sophia Duncan, 5, Neosho, was taken first to Freeman Neosho then airlifted to Springfield to be treated for serious injuries.

Whittington and two passengers, Anzlee Huber, 0, and Winton J. Nevills, both of Goodman, were treated for minor injuries at Freeman Neosho.
