Joplin woman's foot powder turns out to be meth, felony drug charges filed

(From the Joplin Police Department)

Incident Spotlight

This morning at 5:25 a.m. one of our officers stopped a vehicle at 26th and Main. He had seen it at a location known for narcotics and ran the plate and discovered the driver had a city warrant.

When the vehicle left he saw the same female driving as the one that had the warrant. When he stopped the car he noticed white powder on the female driver, the driver's door and the floorboard. The female said it was "foot powder."

The officer had her exit the vehicle and there was a baggie in her seat that field tested positive for meth. A use of his K9 and further search revealed a baggie of meth between the front seats and drug paraphernalia. Felony drug charges submitted on the 24-year-old Joplin female.
