The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold local public hearings in January and February in water and sewer rate cases filed by the Missouri-American Water Company. The local public hearing schedule appears below.
January 22—Mexico. City of Mexico-City Hall, 3rd Floor Council Chambers, 300 North Coal Street. A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 12:00 p.m. with the Commission receiving testimony from the public beginning at 12:30 p.m.
January 22—Riverside. Riverside City Hall, Board of Aldermen Chambers, 2950 NW Vivion Road. A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 5:30 p.m. with the Commission receiving testimony from the public beginning at 6:00 p.m.
January 24—Warsaw. Knights of Columbus Hall, 31687 Highway 83. A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 12:00 p.m. with the Commission receiving testimony from the public beginning at 12:30 p.m.
January 24—Warrensburg. University of Central Missouri, Elliott Student Union, Room 236, 511 South Holden. A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 5:30 p.m. with the Commission receiving testimony from the public beginning at 6:00 p.m.
January 25—St. Joseph. Missouri Western State University, Leah Spratt Hall-Enright Room 214, 4525 Downs Drive. A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 5:00 p.m. with the Commission receiving testimony from the public beginning at 5:30 p.m.
January 29—Maryland Heights. City of Maryland Heights, Municipal Court, 1191 Dorsett Road. A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 12:00 p.m. with the Commission receiving testimony from the public beginning at 12:30 p.m.
January 29—Ferguson. Florissant Valley Community College, Center for Workforce Innovation (CWI) Building, Rooms 134/135/136, 3344 Pershall Road. A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 5:00 p.m. with the Commission receiving testimony from the public beginning at 5:30 p.m.
January 30—Arnold. Arnold City Hall, Council Chambers, 2101 Jeffco Boulevard. A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 12:00 p.m. with the Commission receiving testimony from the public beginning at 12:30 p.m.
January 30—St. Louis. University of Missouri-St. Louis, Summit Room, J.C. Penney Building, 8001 Natural Bridge Road. A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 5:30 p.m. with the Commission receiving testimony from the public beginning at 6:00 p.m.
January 31—Jefferson City. Governor Office Building, Room 450, 200 Madison Street. A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 5:30 p.m. with the Commission receiving testimony from the public beginning at 6:00 p.m.
February 1—Branson. Branson City Hall, City Council Chambers, 110 West Maddux Street. A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 12:00 p.m. with the Commission receiving testimony from the public beginning at 12:30 p.m.
February 1—Joplin. Missouri Southern State University, Mills-Anderson Justice Center, 3950 East Newman Road. A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 5:30 p.m. with the Commission receiving testimony from the public beginning at 6:00 p.m.
These local public hearings will be held in facilities that meet the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. On June 30, 2017, MAWC filed water and sewer rate cases with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to increase annual operating revenues by approximately $74.6 million.
MAWC serves approximately 457,300 water customers and 13,221 sewer customers in Missouri.
