We did discover a malfunctioning storm siren near the High School. Yesterday was first day since the tornado that was clear enough to test. We have notified the company that services them and they will make the repairs soon.
Remember that storm sirens are to alert people outside and people in transit and may not be audible to people inside of residences. Please get a weather radio and stay alert to local weather conditions on local news.
In the event of a sounding of the sirens we will have police in the area and they will travel the neighborhoods with sirens on.
We are very committed to the safety of our residents and visitors, we hope for good weather until the repairs are made and we will do our best to insure that safety.
